Nintendo Switch 2 Update: What’s Exciting and What’s Disappointing
Nintendo seems to have managed to please their fans this time. Their new gaming console Nintendo Switch 2 is exactly what we wanted — like the previous Switch, but better! Nintendo has a habit of doing weird things after their biggest hit console (like the Wii U), but this time they seem to have taken the straight and straight path.
✅ What’s good in Nintendo Switch 2 ?
An episode of The Vergecast discussed the pros and cons of the new Switch 2. The special thing was that Ash Parrish, who is one of the few people who has tried this console, shared his experience.
He said that:
- The screen is great — it’s fun to watch.
- The new game Donkey Kong Bananza may become as iconic as Breath of the Wild was.
- The mouse controls feel a little odd, but it’s a new experience.
- Video chat has been given a big focus this time.
❌ What’s so stressful?
Now let’s talk about the bad news – and that is the Trump administration’s tariff policy. Because of this:
- Pre-orders have been delayed.
- And the Switch 2 may be even more expensive than before.
Although this episode was recorded before the tariff announcement, this is considered to be the worst news so far.
🧠 Second big news: Microsoft’s celebration and planning for AI
Later in this episode, The Verge’s Tom Warren talked about Microsoft’s 50th anniversary – which was a strange mix of party and protest. He told how big and ups and downs Microsoft’s journey has been – there were hits and there were mistakes.
Now Microsoft is going to bet its next 50 years on Artificial Intelligence. It will be interesting to see what new will come out of Redmond (Microsoft’s HQ).
☎️ The question on everyone’s mind
A Vergecast listener asked — should we change our shopping plans due to Trump’s tariff policy?
The answer is unclear, but one thing is for sure — everything is getting more expensive, and some things may not be available even if you pay for them. If you’ve been thinking of buying something new, now might be the time to press the button.
